What causes uneven skin tone?

Pigmentation has many origins — UV exposure, hormones, inflammation, ageing. Identifying the root cause is what determines whether we treat with light, actives, or both.

  • Sun spots and freckling — on the cheeks, forehead, hands and chest from years of cumulative UV exposure.
  • Post-inflammatory marks — left behind after acne, ingrown hairs or skin trauma — flat brown or pink patches that linger for months.
  • Patchy, uneven base — where some areas appear lighter and others darker, leaving the complexion looking washed out.
  • Ageing-related pigmentation — with diffuse, low-contrast discolouration that builds gradually across the face and neck.

Our Treatment Goals

What we aim to improve

Our protocol layers brightening actives with calibrated light therapy — lifting existing pigment while preventing new pigment from forming.

  • Lift surface pigmentation — with vitamin C, kojic acid and tranexamic acid that interrupt the melanin pathway at multiple points.
  • Target deeper discolouration — using IPL or low-fluence laser to break down stubborn pigment clusters that topicals can’t reach.
  • Even overall tone — across the face, neck and d矇colletage so foundation glides on rather than masking inconsistencies.
  • Prevent future marks — with a personalised SPF and antioxidant routine that protects your investment between visits.

Your Journey

How does the treatment work?

Pigmentation responds best to a layered, patient approach. We assess pigment depth and type, choose the right modality, then track lightening over a planned series.

1

Skin Analysis

A digital scan and Wood’s lamp examination map pigment type and depth — epidermal, dermal or mixed — so the protocol matches the actual pathology.

2

Personalised Session

A 60-minute session combines a brightening peel, electroporation of corrective serums, and (where appropriate) a calibrated IPL pass — comfortable throughout.

3

Ongoing Refinement

We re-scan between sessions to confirm pigment is lifting, refine the protocol, and prescribe a maintenance routine that locks in progress long-term.
